Commercial Counsellor Nicanor Bautista addressed questions on investment opportunities in the Philippines during the quorum portion of the BBVA-hosted roundtable for the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) on 30 May 2022 in Madrid, Spain.

The hybrid event was attended by a Philippine delegation led by BSP Governor Ben Diokno as well as Spanish investors that included amongst others, Acciona (energy and infrastructure), BBVA (financial services), Calidad Pascual (food and beverage), Centunion (engineering), Elecnor (engineering and infrastructure), Grupo Emperador (beverage), Ignis (energy), Makiber (construction and services), Navantia (shipbuilding), SESCE (financial services), Sketchnote (VC) and Talgo (transportation).

The event served as an opportunity for PTIC-Berlin to raise awareness of the country as an important investment destination for European companies especially in the sectors that include infrastructure development, renewable energy, engineering, finance, manufacturing, health care, food and beverages, IT services and startups.
