DTI-09 or DTI-Zamboanga Peninsula is composed of five provincial offices: Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City.

ZamPen’s economy is basically rooted in agriculture with farming and fishing as the main economic activities of families. Its industry sector is characterized by a proliferation of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Most manufacturing activities are based in the cities of Zamboanga, Dipolog, and Pagadian. 

The region is known as the No. 1 commercial marine fish producing region in the country as well as a top seaweeds producer. ZamPen also thrives in the industries of coconuts, magoes, and precious minerals.
