Once again, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) warns the public against the circulation of text messages from an alleged OFFICE OF GLOBAL REMITTANCE OF OFW notifying you of winning a certain amount and requesting for personal information. Such messages also advise recipients to call a number claiming to be that of DTI Secretary Ramon M. Lopez.

These messages are scams, invalid, and should be reported to the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). We advise the recipients of these SMS scams to ignore, delete, and block the number of the sender.
