The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) issues this advisory to warn the public against the circulation of messages through text messages relative to SIM numbers winning prizes from GMA KAPUSO MILYONARYO. These messages also advise the public to call a number claiming to be that of DTI Secretary RAMON M. LOPEZ.
The public is advised that this is a scam. The recipients of such messages should not reply to the sender, and instead ignore the message, block the number, and file a complaint with the National Telecommnunications Commission (NTC) through its website http://ntc.gov.ph/?page_id=1301 to alert them about such SMS scam.
