EVENT:
The Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (ClAP) through its human resource development arm, the Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of the Government of Japan is organizing the 1st Philippines – Japan Conference on Construction 2017. The conference is part of the strategic cooperation between the Philippines and Japan for the development of programs for the construction industry. The Philippine side will present flagship projects of lead infrastructure agencies like the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) as well as manpower support systems by CMDF and the Department of Labor and Employment- National Wages and Productivity Commission (DOLE-NWPC). The Japanese side will present government driven programs like the Foreign Construction Workers Acceptance Program and the Technical Intern Training Program in the Construction Industry as well as booming Japanese Construction Technologies.
The event will also include the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) between DTI and MLIT. The MOC aims to strengthen and intensify capacity in the construction sector including human resource development and its related issues.
