The DTI’s Consumer Protection Group (CPG) provides updates on its specific programs for consumers and businesses as well.
The DTI discusses the price and supply situation of basic necessities and prime commodities in Leyte after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake hit the said province. It likewise shares the results of market monitoring in Mindanao and special enforcement activities on Fair Trade Laws in Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas.
The DTI also reports the status as of mid-2017 of all consumer complaints it received. The Department is highly committed to addressing all consumer complaints that fall under its jurisdiction promptly and efficiently.
The DTI clarifies the exemptions under the Product Certification Schemes – Philippine Standard (PS) and Import Commodity Clearance (ICC).
