The DTI’s Consumer Protection Group (CPG) provides updates on its specific programs for consumers and businesses as well.
The DTI head office closely works with the DTI regional and provincial offices in Mindanao to ensure that price freeze for basic necessities is being implemented.
For school year 2017-2018, the DTI-CPG readies the Price Guide for School Supplies to assist consumers in their purchases. Simultaneously, the DTI-CPG routes its monitoring teams in checking the prices, supply and labels of school supplies.
On the other hand, the DTI-CPG streamlines its license procedures for cement to ensure consumer protection.
