Event :
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Consumer Protection Group (CPG) began its strengthened market monitoring activities on the price and supply of school supplies in time for the opening of classes for schoolyear 2018-2019.

The DTI price monitoring teams from its Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (*FTEB) are conducting their rounds to check on the required labels – price, markings according to the Philippine National Standards (PNS) – on school supplies such as composition and writing notebooks, pad paper, pencil, and, crayons.

An announcement or coverage of the event for release in newspaper columns or in radio and TV news programs will properly inform the general public that such programs are undertaken for their protection.
