Negosyo Center Program continually brings ease of doing business to more Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as it has reached more than a thousand Negosyo Centers established nationwide this November 2018.

The Regional Offices of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), all Negosyo Centers, and participating MSMEs are set to celebrate a week-long event from November 26 to 29, recognizing countryside development. Dubbed as 1000 Negosyo Centers Celebration, this event will feature the significant entrepreneurial growth among the MSME sector.

Negosyo Centers are expected to conduct seminars and trainings related to setting-up a business, marketing, financial literacy in partnership with local financing institution or partners, and advocacy campaigns on EODB Law. Such activities are grounded on Business Environment (BE), Access to Markets (A2M), and Access to Finance (A2F). Over 900 Negosyo Centers, from coast-to-coast, will simultaneously celebrate this significant achievement which culminates with a grand 1000 Negosyo Centers Celebration in Tagaytay City. This event is also in concurrence with the launching of Negosyo Center Tagaytay. Key government officials who are also purveyors of MSME development are expected to join the affair.

Republic Act. No. 10644 or the “Go Negosyo Act”, an act promoting job generation and inclusive growth through the development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, paved way for the establishment of Negosyo Centers. Since the implementation of the program in 2014, with five (5) pioneering centers established and now has reached to a thousand to date, Negosyo Centers have helped alleviate the lives of ordinary Filipinos, assisting them become extraordinary Pinoy Entrepreneurs.

The celebration supports the MSMED Plan Development 2017-2022 Framework’s vision which is to form more globally competitive MSMEs that are regionally integrated, resilient, sustainable, and innovative thereby performing as key drivers of inclusive Philippine economic growth. The continuously growing number of centers is pivotal with the efforts to make MSMEs more globally competitive. Convenient access to ease of doing business and on-going strategies to improve the services offered by all Negosyo Centers shall bring forth constant entrepreneurship development in the country.

Existing and would be MSMEs are encouraged to visit the nearest Negosyo Center in their area to join the activities lined-up by each center. These Centers are found in strategic areas convenient for the existing and would-be entrepreneurs, such as DTI offices, Local Government Units (LGU), academe, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and malls.
