Bagsakan

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is rolling out another special showcase of the products of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the upcoming Bagsakan at the Estancia Mall in Pasig City on 29 October 2020, 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Through the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP), the DTI leads major efforts of the government to help MSMEs sustain their business operations amid the COVID-19 and promote confidence and optimism among consumers.

Nearly a dozen MSMEs from different cities in the NCR  will feature their best products  to the discerning customers of Pasig City and  nearby communities:

  • Business Innovation Gateway, Inc. – Gusto Mango Juice, BIOTA, Gluta Capsules and health products
  • N.C. Hernandez Food Products – Isaw Chicken Snacks, Salmon Fish Skin Snacks, Crispy Chicken Feet Snacks and more
  • Capellan Deli Food Products – Healthy Honey, Calamansi Concentrate
  • BDO Herbosido Herbal Products – Herbal Oil, Herbal Shampoo, Herbal Powder
  • Natureline Enterprises – Snow Christmas Tree, Abaca Angel, Wreath, Reindeer, and varieties of Christmas Decors
  • Aging’s Food Delight – Tasty Filipino Kakanin, Ube Chiz Pandesal, Rice Cakes, Cream Chiz Bread, Suman Cake, and more
  • Moonlight Handicrafts – Eco Bayong, Pouches, Bags and Face Masks
  • QueenB Apriaries – Honey, Bee Pollen Soap, Black Honey, Sunblock, Lip Balm, Lotion and more essential items
  • Blessed-Harvest Marketing – Healthy Tablea Products
  • LMOR Food Products – Gourmet Peanut Products
  • Lionshare Co. Ltd. – Tinapang Bangus, Atsara, Adobo sa Asin and more Filipino delicacies

The complete list of products, photos and prices are posted in the social media pages of the BDTP (www.facebook.com/DTI.BDTP).  Buyers and the general public can directly contact the MSMEs. They are also encouraged to place bulk orders which could help the MSMEs generate sustainable income and maintain their employees.

Over the past seven months, since the BDTP initiated the Bagsakan on 16 March 2020, 20 Bagsakan activities were conducted in different venues generating  total sales of over P7.8M and assisted 126 MSMEs as well as fruit and vegetable farmers,  and cooperatives from 11 regions of the  country namely, CAR, 1, 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5, 6, 8, 9 and NCR. 

Due to the increasing request of MSMEs to continue this innovative marketing assistance extended by the DTI, five more big Bagsakan sale shall be conducted before the end of 2020. It is expected that more MSMEs will benefit from this project and help them recover from losses incurred during the enhanced community quarantine. Likewise, more MSMEs will be connected with new and big buyers both in the domestic and foreign market.   With the continuous marketing effort of the Bureau in cooperation of the DTI Regional Operations Group, 398 MSMEs from all over the country were assisted to go digital and seeing their products in local and global marketplaces through Shopee, Lazada, Shopinas and UBGlobalinker.
