Engr. Rodolfo C. Menguita discusses productivity and improvement process with a group from DDT Konstract Inc.

The Construction Manpower Development Foundation (CMDF), the human resource development arm of the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines launched the pilot run of the Construction Supervisory Training and Certification Program (CSTCP) in partnership with DDT Konstract Inc. on February 2, 9, 15, 23 and March 2, 2018. Due to the success of the program, a second batch was conducted on May 4, 10, 17, 24 and June 1, 2018. Overall the program had certified 40 project superintendents and supervisors.

CSTCP aims to upgrade the competencies of Project Superintendents and Supervisors with focus on the management functions of planning, organizing, implementing and control, and applying their leadership functions in achieving project and corporate goals and objectives. The program also aims develop their own productivity improvement project using the Problem Solving and Decision Making (PSDM) process of the participants.

CMDF will continue to develop capacity building programs while working with industry experts to ensure the quality of work in the construction industry and the success of the government’s Build! Build! Build! program. ♦
