Continuing its efforts in promoting quality in government construction projects, the Philippine Domestic Construction Board (PDCB) will gather accredited CPES evaluators on 25 April 2019 for the 5th National Convention of Accredited CPES Evaluators of the Philippines to be held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Pan Pacific Manila Hotel, Gen. Malvar St., Malate, Manila. 

The DTI Undersecretary, Atty. Rowel S. Barba, has been invited to witness the event and address the participants on the importance of quality in construction and the role of the government, specifically the agencies implementing infrastructure projects, in shaping the future of the Philippine Construction Industry through convergence of technologies, institutions, industries, and resources.  Also invited to grace the event is Secretary Mark A. Villar of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to deliver the closing remarks.

This year’s event will focus on CPES accomplishments in the last two years; the challenges and best practices on its implementation by the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, National Power Corporation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, and the Department of Public Works and Highways; as well as discussions on the procurement law; government auditing rules and tools; and enhancement of professionals in construction. 

Agencies with most improved CPES Implementing Unit, as well as those newly accredited evaluators, will be given recognition by Undersecretary Barba and the Chairman and Members of the PDCB Board namely, Atty. Ramon P. Ereñeta, Jr., Engrs. Rogelio C. Lombos, Anthony L. Fernandez, Liberito V. Espiritu, and Ernie G. Baggao.
