Fireside Chats at National Export Congress 2023 | Department of Trade and Industry Philippines

MANILA CITY — As part of the celebration of National Exporters’ Week 2023, the Department of Trade and Industry-Export Marketing Bureau (DTI-EMB) is set to host Fireside Chats in the sidelines of the National Export Congress (NEC) on 07 December 2023, with the theme “Agile Philippines: Empowering Exporters towards Global Excellence.”

The Fireside Chat series, taking place from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Collab Room of the Sheraton Manila Hotel, aims to serve as a platform for impact-making conversations focusing on informing and capacitating exporters to navigate the challenges of our fast-paced, competitive, and increasingly digital world.

SESSIONS:

(2:00 – 3:00 pm) Recent Innovations in Philippine Exports

This will explore the basics of innovation and its benefits for adaptable businesses. They will also discuss the correlation between innovation and agility, emphasizing increased revenues and operational efficiency. Participants can find inspiration in creations shared by business professionals, entrepreneurs, and experts who have grown significantly through innovative practices.

(3:00 – 4:00 pm) Building Resilient Supply Chains Towards Global Competitiveness

The session will shed light on how businesses can proactively identify and address vulnerabilities such as logistical bottlenecks, sourcing constraints, or unanticipated market developments. The session aims to improve their adaptability, respond faster to market swings, and increase their agility in their export operations, bolstering their capability for long-term success in the global market.

(4:00 – 5:00 pm) Empowering Exporters Through Digital Transformation

This session will tackle the importance of digital transformation for the Philippine export landscape. Discussions will center around exporters’ digital journeys, the challenges and benefits of leveraging digital tools, and strategies to drive growth and competitiveness in the global market. The session will also show the critical role of digitalization in ensuring data security, accompanied by the inspiring story of a Filipino trailblazer in the digital sphere.
