PASAY CITY — The Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA), the training arm of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is set to celebrate its 37th Founding Anniversary Celebration, scheduled from February 27 to 29, 2024. Set to take place at the PTTC-GMEA Building in Pasay City, this celebration commemorates over three decades of dedicated service in nurturing the growth and success of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Philippines and around the globe.

This year’s anniversary theme, “Forging Global Futures: 37 Years of Pioneering Excellence and Innovation,” puts forward the institution’s commitment to empowering MSMEs for success on the global stage. With a focus on acknowledging its pioneering history, emphasizing excellence in service, and fostering innovation within the MSME sector, the event aims to provide practical insights and tools essential for navigating today’s ever[1]evolving business landscape.

The anniversary celebration is designed to provide knowledge and tools to empower MSMEs with the skills necessary for success in a dynamic and competitive business environment. Furthermore, it aims to explore innovative approaches and technologies to drive growth and sustainability in MSMEs, highlighting the intersection of creativity and digital transformation. In addition, the event seeks to facilitate networking opportunities for participants to connect, collaborate, and share best practices, fostering a supportive community for MSMEs.

Attendees can look forward to engaging with thought leaders, business prime movers, and successful entrepreneurs in two comprehensive plenary sessions covering essential themes. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to connect with industry experts and potential collaborators through mini trade fairs and business clinics. Additionally, participants can explore the PTTC-GMEA facilities through guided tours, informational sessions, and demonstrations.

The plenary session themes include “Pioneering Paths for MSME Futures,” which aims to empower young individuals with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to succeed as entrepreneurs. Furthermore, “Fostering Creativity and Collaboration for MSME Growth” provides a platform for discussions on the intersection of creativity and entrepreneurship, aimed at aspiring and existing creative professionals. ♦
