Los Baños, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry-Laguna Provincial office through its Negosyo Center Los Baños held an online training session for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) last August 4, 2020. This aimed to familiarize the participants with the current strategies to sustain business despite the pandemic. The webinar was attended by 29 participants from different regions, as well as staff from the Department, and roughly 1,000 Facebook users who were reached via Facebook Live on the same day.

The seminar included a mix of lectures and forum through interaction with the participants. Discussion revolved around online platforms, e-marketing and e-commerce that will help MSMEs on managing digital payments, increasing sale opportunities while practicing safety protocols and achieving growth by going online.

The seminar focused on the benefits of becoming digital. It helps to clarify the role of MSMEs in implementing these new platform of marketing. Participants welcome the opportunity to exchange views on digital strategies for business growth. MSMEs expressed their gratitude toward the conduct of the event. More than 70% of the responses gave an excellent remark for all items in the Client Satisfaction Survey.
