Sixteen (16) participants attended the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon’s seminar on Frontline Quality Service held at Negosyo Center (NC) – Manolo Fortich on January 17. The seminar’s main goal is to provide knowledge and overview of excellent customer service concepts to members of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), potential entrepreneurs, and employees of several local government units.

Most of the participants showed high interest in the topics discussed by the mentors during the training. Some of them specified that the best part of the training was when they were taught how to handle difficult customers.

As of January 18, the Trade Department in Bukidnon has successfully concluded four seminars. The three other seminars include NC Malaybalay’s “Packaging and Labeling” seminar, NC Valencia’s “Fiscal Incentives for MSMEs thru BMBE Act of 2002” seminar, and NC Maramag’s “Introduction to Entrepreneurship” seminar.

DTI Bukidnon has scheduled seventeen (17) seminars more for the month of January. Three (3) will be in NC Manolo Fortich, five (5) in NC Malaybalay, four (4) in NC Valencia, three (3) in NC Maramag and two (2) in NC Don Carlos.

In 2016, twenty (20) NCs were launched in Northern Mindanao. Which means, DTI Region 10 has doubled their number of Negosyo Centers based on 2015 records. To recall, Northern Mindanao only had 9 Negosyo Centers back in 2015.

With Northern Mindanao having six (6) new Negosyo Centers in Bukidnon, one (1) in Camiguin, four (4) in Lanao del Norte, three (3) in Misamis Occidental, and six (6) in Misamis Oriental, entrepreneurs can now expect more seminars for the month of January alone. Northern Mindanao’s trade department advises existing and potential MSMEs and young entrepreneurs to keep posted of Negosyo Center training and seminar schedules in their respective areas so they can get the most out of the modules and topics provided.
