The first batch of Enhanced Business Learning Session (EBLS) enrollees finished up with two (2) sessions before having their presenting their business plans at VIP Hotel on March 9, 2018.

After the graduation of the first Batch of EBLS, the 2^nd Batch of EBLS enrollees were ushered through sessions on ‘Basic Marketing focusing on 4Ps’, ‘Review on Pricing and Costing based on Market Segments’, ‘Product Positioning and Branding, Consumer Behaviour’, ‘Product Promotion/Participation in Marketing Events’, ‘Customer Relation Management’ and ‘One on One Business Coaching on Marketing’.

The Enhanced Business Learning Session (EBLS) was also rolled out in the municipalities outside of Cagayan de Oro. Sessions on ‘Entrepreneurial Mind-setting and Values Formation’, ‘Basics of Marketing’ and ‘One-on-one Business Coaching on Marketing’ were already conducted.

DTI Misamis Oriental also started to roll-out another batch of Kapatid Mentor Me Program Enrollees for Cagayan de Oro during its launching last March 7, 2018. The following sessions were already conducted this March for the new KMME enrollees: ‘Entrepreneurial Mind-Setting & Values Formation’, ‘Marketing’, ‘Product Development’, and ‘Market Growth and Expansion’.

Apart from the committed conduct of EBLS training, DTI-Misamis Oriental also continues to accommodate requests for resource speaker, conducts entrepreneurship orientation and other activities not classified under EBLS.

There were a lot of marketing events that were conducted in March either initiated by DTI or privately organized. The following were the World Food Expo held at LimKetKai, CDO, Big Bite at Centrio Mall and Sikat Pinoy National Food Fair at Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

Other Highlights:

• DTI Misamis Oriental conducted a BEST Game Trainor’s Training for Negosyo Center Coordinators throughout MIsamis Oriental last March 13-16, 2018 at VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro
• Furthermore, DTI also conducted a Focus Group Discussion with the intent of gathering inputs on how to further improve Negosyo Center Services last March 21, 2018 at VIP Hotel, Cagayan de Oro
• DTI also provided consultancy services during the Misamis Oriental Provincial Government Stakeholder’s Consultative Forum held at Capitol Training Center, Cagayan de Oro City last March 8, 2018
• DTI also participated the Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan: Grand Serbisyo Caravan organized by the Department of Labor and Employment last March 16, 2018. In collaboration with different government agencies, DTI provided advisory services to participants of the job fair.
• Amidst the busyness of DTI Mis. Or., the office was able to conduct a one-day 5S/Empty Day Session last March 17, 2018, in preparation for the Regional Internal Quality Audit. The provincial internal quality audit for Misamis Oriental was conducted last March 22, 2018.
• DTI Mis. Or. Consumer Protection Division continues to support the Cagayan de Oro City Price Coordinating Council as it regularly conducts its quarterly meeting. The 1^st quarter meeting was conducted last March 21, 2018 at 2^nd Floor Conference Room, City Mayor’s Office, Cagayan de Oro.
