CARP and DAP training
Mr. Marco T. Accad discusses the 7 C’s of Effective Business Communication.

The Department of Trade and Industry – Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (DTI-CARP) in collaboration with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) conducted training on Effective Business Communication and Business Networking for the Bangaan Rural Workers Association and Samahang Magsasaka ng Wacal on April 6, 2017 held at Barangay Wacal, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

The training aims to cultivate and enlighten the twenty (20) participants from the two associations on how to use effective communication and its importance in building business networking. It also review factors that can cause flaws in communication.

As part of the workshop, SMERA Counselor, Mr. Marco T. Accad, administered a diagnostic test regarding communication to assess participants’ current knowledge on the topic.

During the discussion, Mr. Accad gave emphasis on the seven (7) C’s of communication specifically completeness, conciseness, consideration, clarity, concreteness, courtesy and correctness.

The speaker encouraged the participants to familiarize the seven (7) C’s because it will serve as their edge to make their communication process effective. He also gave example of messages which violated the principles of the seven (7) C’s and subsequently showed the corrected messages in accordance with the seven (7) C’s of communication.

The training turned out to be informative and lively as participants vigorously engaged in the discussion. They were able to express themselves and grasp the information given to them. Furthermore, it made them realize how important communication is when it comes to business.
