The Department of Trade and Industry – Quirino Provincial Office conducted a 3-day Diskwento Caravan on September 8-10, 2017 at the Capitol Grounds, Cabarroguis, Quirino. The activity was one of the highlights of the Panagdadapun Festival 2017 in celebration of the 46th Founding an Anniversary of the Province of Quirino.
With the theme “Presyong Panalo Para sa Mamimiling Pilipino”, the Diskwento Caravan was timely conducted to the province’s anniversary celebration and also as a Post Calamity Edition Diskwento Caravan after the tropical storm Jolina hit the province.
Nine (9) exhibitors composed of local MSMEs and 3 guest exhibitors from Santiago City, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya province participated in the caravan who offered discounts for their products like bags, clothes, shoes and other basic and prime commodities such as coffee, milk, soaps, shampoos, rice and other food products.
The exhibitors generated a total of Php 141,790.34 sales from 706 Quirinians visiting the event including those affected by the typhoon.
Earlier this year, DTI Quirino conducted the Balik Eskwela Edition and made available to the buying public various school supplies and other basic and prime commodities at more affordable and discounted prices.♦
