The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 02 conducted an Orientation on Anti-Red Tape Act cum Etiquette Seminar for the Negosyo Center Coordinators on September 15, 2016 at Crown Pavilion, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The activity aims to ensure that the newly hired Negosyo Center Coordinators will uphold DTI’s image as an “Agency of Choice” and to be able to strengthen their commitment and integrity to public service.
In the morning session, Atty. Mari-Grace Cumagun of Civil Service Office R02, discussed about the key communication skills, particularly on the major functions of frontline roles to provide excellent quality service to the clients. The salient features of RA 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007 and developing a Customer-Oriented Service Culture were also discussed.
Participants were encouraged to promote the core values of DTI to the public and establish best practices to prevent graft and corruption in the government.
In the afternoon, Ms. Anna Kharizza D. Tabilas-Villacete, the HR Specialist II of CSC R02 discussed the topics on Creating a Service Excellence Environment through Customer Feedback; Understanding ourselves and our customers; and Skills in Building Customer Satisfaction.
“You are perceived by others through your impact, not by your intentions,” she said in her discussion.
The participants had a brief role play applying what they learned from the discussions.
Ms. Villacete dared the participants to take on the challenge of fulfilling their task responsibly to put their learning into practice and to sustain the DTI’s theme of Service beyond Expectations.
