The provincial tourism council recognized Ms. Emilia D. Fernandez of Maddela Flowers and Crafts as one of the delegates from the Philippines to represent the Philippines in the forthcoming Ambiente 2017 on February 10-14, 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Maddela Flowers and Crafts is the only delegate from Region 02.

In her speech, Ms. Fernandez shared how she was chosen and how DTI helped her in all her achievements in the fossilized flower industry.

Ms. Cua and other who were present in the meeting were very proud for the success of the Maddela Flowers and Crafts. Likewise, Governor Junie E. Cua also present in the meeting said that the province will support her.

Ms. Fernandez was recognized during the 1st provincial tourism council meeting at the Quirino Water Sports Complex Restaurant, Capitol Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino which was presided by Provincial Tourism Council Chairperson, Ms. Maria Angela E. Cua and attended by the officers, Board of Directors, LGU representatives, Sangguniang Panlalawigan and Bayan Tourism Chairpersons and private stakeholders.

Among the topics discussed include the establishment of the Negosyo Centers in all the municipalities of the province.

DTI Quirino Provincial Director Ms. Ma. Sofia G. Narag informed the group that four (4) negosyo centers located in Diffun, Cabarroguis, Maddela and Nagtipunan were already established and the two municipalities are to be established in 2018.

Mayor Marcelina M. Paggabao supported the establishment of Negosyo Center in Saguday and mentioned that a space for the center is now ready and available.

The group also discussed the product development assistance specifically the labelling for the iconic food of the province of Quirino.
