A mentoring program of the Department of Trade and Industry is scheduled to start this month. On April 26, 2017, the first of the twelve session module of the Kapatid Mentor Micro Enterprise (KMME) program will be held in Bulacan. All provinces of Central Luzon will have their respective KMME sessions. Each province is expected to train at least 25 mentees. The KMME session schedule are set tp start in the following dates:

  • Aurora – July 5
  • Bataan – May 26
  • Bulacan – April 26
  • Nueva Ecija – June 7
  • Pampanga – May 12
  • Tarlac – May 4
  • Zambales – June 14

The KMME program aims to help micro and small entrepreneurs grow through a series of mentoring sessions on different areas of entrepreneurship. The sessions will be conducted by successful business owners and local subject matter experts as mentors.

There are 11 Modules in the KMME program, namely: Entrepreneurial Mindset and Values Formation, Marketing, Business Model Canvass, Product Development/Innovation, Human Resources, Operation/Production Management, Financial Management, Obligations and Contract/Business Law, Supply Value Chain, Taxation and Business Plan Preparation. The 12th module is the presentation of output and graduation of mentees.

The KMME is a product of the partnership of the DTI and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship, which is headed by Presidential Adviser Joey Concepcion.
