Twelve participants including the cooperators of DTI’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project and beneficiaries of the Building Entrepreneurs thru Advisory and Mentoring Services (BEAMS) Program joined in the said festival.

The highlights of this activity were on the following:

  1. How the coffee can be paired with different delicacies such as espasol and puto, as well as with different kinds of breads, biscuits, pastries and cakes produced by the local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs); and
  2. Art of Coffee Painting, where they tapped local talents to showcase their ingenuity and creativity as they painted a wall mural using coffee.

They were able to generate sales amounting to more or less seven hundred thousand pesos (P697,000.00). The participants were happy for the turnout of sales as most of them belong to the micro level.

With that success, the SM City – Calamba expressed their desire to invite once again the ALAFOP on their next trade fair events.
