Any retailer or wholesaler found selling uncertified products will be seized and will pay a penalty that may range up to a maximum of Php 300,000.00 without prejudice to the filing of criminal or civil actions under applicable laws.
DTI 4-A warns the retailers and wholesalers to refrain from selling substandard and uncertified products and encourages them to support the Department’s goal in eradicating the proliferation of injurious and harmful products in the market places. Likewise, DTI 4-A informed the public to purchase only quality and certified products since these can provide them an optimum level of satisfaction and can give better value for money spent.
DTI 4-A will continue to monitor products that fall under their jurisdiction to ensure compliance of business establishments to applicable standards and guidelines, which will ultimately provide consumer protection and satisfaction.
