The Department of Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Local Government of Cabuyao, opened the 59th Negosyo Center in the CALABARZON Region at the 3rd Floor Cabuyao Retail Plaza, Cabuyao, Laguna on 04 August 2017.

Cabuyao is the 12th Negosyo Center launched in the province of Laguna after Pagsanjan, Binan, Los Banos, Santa Rosa, Calamba, Victoria, San Pedro, San Pablo, Santa Maria, Alaminos, and Santa Cruz.

“I did not think twice when DTI discussed to us the establishment of Negosyo Center. I immediately agreed and did my best to set up a complete and spacious NC office for our town. We are willing to accept all the programs of DTI because we believe that these programs will greatly benefit our people, especially our entrepreneurs,” said Cabuyao Mayor Rommel A. Gecolea.

The Go Negosyo Law or RA10644 mandates the creation of a Negosyo Center in all provinces, cities, and municipalities. Negosyo Center is a one-stop shop for services that cater to the entrepreneurs’ needs in processing requirements necessary to establish a business and in accessing information essential for their growth.

Some of the Negosyo Center services are: accepting and facilitating all new registration and renewal application of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including application for

Barangay Micro-Business Enterprise (BMBE); assisting MSMEs in meeting regulatory requirements to start and maintain the business; providing information and services in training, financing, marketing, and other areas as may be required by MSMEs; and facilitating access to grants and other forms of financial assistance.

“Cabuyao has the biggest Negosyo Center office in Laguna so far, having complete facilities such as training room and reception area,” said DTI Laguna Director Susan R. Palo.

“We are very happy with the full support and cooperation of Cabuyao to our programs as our way to develop MSMEs and generate employment,” said DTI CALABARZON Director Marilou Q. Toledo.

The launching was attended by the Cabuyao Municipal Councilors, LGU staff, cooperatives, fishermen, farmers, and partner agencies like the Philippine Statistics Authority, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Agriculture, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Cooperative Development Authority, among others.

Negosyo Center Cabuyao is calling on existing and aspiring entrepreneurs to visit its office and know more about the services and training available.
