The Department of Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Local Government of Tiaong, opened the Negosyo Center at the Ground Floor Municipal Hall, Don Vicente Robles Street., Poblacion 3, Tiaong, Quezon on 5 July 2017. Tiaong is the 7th Negosyo Center launched in the province.

“The presence of a Negosyo Center in any city or municipality stresses the initiative of the government to bring the services closer to the entrepreneurs. The Department expresses its gratitude to the support of the Local Government Unit in providing a comfortable venue to the people of Tiaong, especially in the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs),” said DTI CALABARZON Director Marilou Q. Toledo.

The Go Negosyo Law or RA10644 mandates the creation of a Negosyo Center in all provinces, cities, and municipalities. Negosyo Center is a one-stop shop for services that cater to the entrepreneurs’ needs in processing requirements necessary to establish a business and in accessing information essential for their growth. Some of the Negosyo Center services are: business registration assistance and application for Barangay Micro-Business Enterprise (BMBE); business advisory services; business information and advocacy; and monitoring and evaluation of business-process improvement for MSMEs.

“One of our goals is to alleviate poverty in our town. Through the help of Negosyo Center, we aim to increase our entrepreneurs and expand their business, at the same time, to increase the employment rate in Tiaong,” said Tiaong Mayor Ramon A. Preza.

The launching was attended by the Lopez Municipal Councilors, LGU staff, Barangay Captains, representatives of the Tiaong Public Market, and partner agencies like the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agrarian Reform, Small Business Corporation, Philippine Coconut Authority, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Quezon, among others.
