The Department of Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO), launched the Building Enterprises through Advisory and Mentoring Services (BEAMS) Project in General Trias, Cavite on 31 August 2017. Cavite is the second province in CALABARZON to kick off BEAMS this year after Quezon.

The BEAMS project is an offshoot of the CESO’s conduct of training and workshop in the CALABARZON region. It is anchored on the Bayanihan spirit by establishing a pool of home-grown mentors and coaches in each province of the region. The BEAMS project envisions to have home-grown volunteer mentors nurturing the micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for global competitiveness.
