Surveillance audit conducted at a cement company |
To ensure better consumer protection, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) regularly conducts surveillance audit at the business establishments having Philippine Standard (PS) license. With this, DTI can assure that the products being produced conform to quality and safety standards as specified in the relevant Philippine National Standards (PNS).
DTI IV-A Assessors Cleotilde Duran, Rexel Amparo, and Christian Ted Tungohan conducted a Product Audit of Cement in Tagbac, Antipolo City, Rizal on June 14, 2017. This is part of the annual surveillance audit under the Product Certification Scheme to verify the continuous compliance of the PS licensees with the ISO 9001 and the relevant PNS standards.
DTI implements the said scheme to safeguard the interest of consumers, at the same time, to ensure that consumers will indeed get ‘best value for money’ for the products purchased in the market.
