The Department of Trade and Industry, in partnership with the Local Government of Lopez, opened the Negosyo Center at the Municipal Compound, Barangay Talolong, Lopez, Quezon on 29 June 2017.

Lopez is the 6th Negosyo Center launched in the province after Lucena, Gumaca, Infanta, Alabat, and Mulanay and the 51st NC in the CALABARZON region.

“The Negosyo Center is a wonderful opportunity for Lopez. Our townspeople will surely have a new challenge to double their diligence to make use of the NC assistances fully,” said Lopez Vice-Mayor Maria Adeline A. Lee.

The Go Negosyo Law or RA10644 mandates the creation of a Negosyo Center in all provinces, cities, and municipalities. Negosyo Center is a one-stop shop for services that cater to the entrepreneurs’ needs in processing requirements necessary to establish a business and in accessing information essential for their growth.

Some of the Negosyo Center services are: business registration assistance and application for Barangay Micro-Business Enterprise (BMBE); business advisory services; business information and advocacy; and monitoring and evaluation of business-process improvement for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

According to DTI Quezon Officer-in-Charge Julieta L. Tadiosa, Negosyo Center Lopez is classified as “B” model, having its reception area, computer for online research, access to business information, and working and consultation area.

“Lopez is a big town with 95 barangays. It is home to many micro entrepreneurs and future entrepreneurs. We are looking forward to helping your town’s entrepreneurs not just to register their business but also to improve their business,” said DTI CALABARZON Director Marilou Q. Toledo.

“We hope that the business sector in our town will boom. Through the help of Negosyo Center, we want to create a group of businesspeople that will be dedicated in achieving our goal,” said Lopez Mayor Rachel A. Ubana.

The launching was attended by the Lopez Municipal Councilors, LGU staff, and partner agencies like the Department of Science and Technology and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Quezon, among others.

Negosyo Center Lopez is calling on existing and aspiring entrepreneurs to visit its office and know more about the services and training available.
