The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal through Negosyo Center Morong on Monday, 15 March 2021, hosted a free webinar on Basic Business Record Keeping via Facebook Live. This is part of interventions under the Negosyo Serbisyo sa Barangay (NSB) Program, where recipients of NSB Livelihood Kits are assisted with “Ayudang Kaalaman” on managing their sari sari store business. Forty entrepreneurs registered via online and participated in the Webinar while 836 views and 24 shares via Facebook. There were NSB beneficiaries who were present in the Negosyo Center, participated in the webinar.
The activity, with the objective of equipping the participants with the importance and advantages of business recording, was facilitated by Business Counselor Ara Elaine Suazo. She explained that good business record keeping is essential especially to micro entrepreneurs because accurate record will help the business. Prof. Ernie Tano, Officer-in-Charge (OIC)-Dean of College of Accountancy from the University of Rizal System, discussed the Basics of Business Record Keeping. For sari sari store owners and NSB beneficiaries, he taught the simplified business/transaction recording. He also encouraged the participants to record all transactions that have financial impact. He also reiterated that with good records, entrepreneurs can monitor the progress of their businesses and comply with the government. ♦
