ILOILO CITY– The yearly celebration of the Manggahan Festival is off to a great start with the opening of the Guimaras Island Ecobazaar (GEB) 2023 at Robinsons Place Iloilo on April 14. In partnership with the Province of Guimaras, the GEB is a trade fair that highlights the island’s key producers and their expertise in design and culinary arts. The event offers visitors a glimpse of the unique and exquisite crafts and delicacies that Guimaras has to offer.

The EcoBazaar has been a valuable marketing activity for MSMEs in Guimaras for the past nine years, providing them with an opportunity to expand the marketability of their products and reach a wider audience.

In her special message, DTI Region 6 OIC-RD Pollentes emphasized the importance of supporting local MSMEs to push for digitalization and improved logistics, especially during these challenging times. The Eco Bazaar is a great opportunity for consumers to buy local and help MSMEs thrive, providing a much-needed boost to the local economy.

DTI Guimaras OIC-PD Mutya Eusores said that this year’s EcoBazaar will showcase a wide array of products from the 18 local MSME exhibitors, including handicrafts, processed foods, fresh mangoes and other local produce.
