The Negosyo Center in Malay, Aklan now accepts business name registration applications.
 
“MSMEs may now apply thru Negosyo Center Malay for their business name registration, and pay corresponding application fees via nearest Palawan pawnshop, and submit the proof of payment to NC Malay,” said OIC-Provincial Director Ma. Carmen I. Iturralde.
 
NC Malay will be accepting application from 8AM to 5PM. However, cut-off period for processing of applications is at 3 P.M. Applications received after cut off time will be processed the following day.
 
A Certificate of Registration will be issued to the registrant on the next working day, and/or will be notified accordingly as the processing of the business name is still being done at the DTI Aklan Provincial Office in Kalibo, Aklan.
 
With this development, MSMEs in Malay or nearby areas will no longer need to travel in Kalibo, Aklan and that they will have more time for their business. Interested applicants may visit NC Malay located at Boracay Action Center, Balabag, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.
 
DTI’s business name registration is only applicable for single proprietorship.
 
Partnerships and corporations may register at the Securities and Exchange Commission; cooperatives at the Cooperative Development Authority; and, associations at the Department of Labor and Employment.
 
Applicants may also opt to register their business name online at www.business.gov.ph, and pay via Globe’s GCash, and print their respective certificate of registration for to be posted in their stores or offices.♦
