Summer vacation is almost over and school bells are about to ring. For parents and students who want to save up more money for tuition and who want to avoid the back-to-school rush, the Provincial Offices of the Department of Trade and Industry 8 conduct the Diskwento Caravan Balik-Eskwela Edition.

Since 2009, the Department had been holding this regular program wherein manufacturers and retailers are brought together to provide opportunity for consumers to access basic goods, schools supplies and prime commodities at discounted or reduced prices.

Products sold during this Balik-Eskwela edition are food items, school supplies, uniforms, shoes and other merchandise to help prepare students for the school year.

DTI Southern Leyte and Northern Samar have already conducted their Diskwento Caravans that greatly helped moms and students. For those who would want to shop, public consumers may visit the following Diskwento Caravans on these dates:

• May 24-26, 2017 Rizal Park, Tacloban City
• May 24 Calbayog City
• May 24-25 Naval, Bilian
• May 29-30 Guiuan, Eastern Samar
• June 1-2 Borongan, Eastern Samar
