SHANDONG PROVINCE, CHINA — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Trade Promotions Group (TPG), the Foreign Trade Service Corps (FTSC) and Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Beijing participated in the 2023 High-Level Forum for Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Economic and Trade Cooperation in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. The annual event is hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) together with the Province of Shandong and the Municipality of Qingdao.

Assistant Secretary Glenn Peñaranda and Commercial Counsellor Emmanuel Ang highlighted the importance of RCEP for enhancing business relations with China and promoted investment opportunities in manufacturing, infrastructure, agri-food and new energy, as well as in the digital and green economy.

This year’s Forum banners the theme of “Collaborating for Common Prosperity” highlighting the efforts to strengthen communication and establish a platform of exchange and cooperation among member states of RCEP.

The Philippines look forward to business engagements with CCPIT and CCOIC members at the following forthcoming major events in China: CIFIT in Xiamen, CAExpo in Nanning, CIFTIS in Beijing and in CIIE in Shanghai.

The event also conducted an Investment and Trade Fair Exhibition.♦
