London, England – Philippines’ very own Happy Andrada had her first solo international fashion showcase during London Fashion Week, on the 18th of February at Freemason’s Hall.

The Filipina designer stunned with her ‘Incantation’ Collection in an event hosted by Fashion Scout, United Kingdom’s largest independent showcase for design talents during LFW.

Andrada describes the collection as “a purposive re-integration of distinctively tribal nuances to modern cut, form and silhouette.” Ranging from ready-to-wear to avant-garde pieces, ‘Incantation’ brings fabrics and materials, which are indigenous to the Philippines, to the runway. Pineapple cotton, jusi, abaca, banana, and recycled plastics are just some of the materials she used to create her designs.

Despite already being a world-class talent – with fashion shows in London, Paris, Milan, Tokyo and Los Angeles – Andrada chose to pay homage to her motherland, by sharing its story and rich cultural heritage in her latest high fashion collection.
