The Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Mexico City and the Export Marketing Bureau, will hold a webinar on Philippine export opportunities in Latin America on 28 July 2020, 8 A.M. Philippine Standard Time (27 July 2020 Mexico Time).

The webinar aims to brief Philippine businessmen and exporters on the key market opportunities in key markets in Latin America. PTIC Mexico City, the DTI´s trade and investment promotion office in Latin America, has invited experts from key markets in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, to give in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities, of tapping into the Latin American market.

This webinar will feature speakers who work to bridge the commercial gap between specific Latin American country and the Philippines. The speaker lineup includes Latin American importers and business organizations that currently do business with the Philippines These include key officials from the Chile-ASEAN Chamber of Commerce, Bionutrients International, Brazilian Coconut Institute, Camara Del Asia, and WBagadion Consulting.

The speakers will share their expertise and experience on the product categories that Philippine exporters should explore. Important product categories to be highlighted are organic and natural products, food items and consumer products, as well as the online consumer marketplace of Latin America. The resource speakers will also provide insights on doing business in Latin America in the context of a post-pandemic economy, and how local businesses are coping with its challenges.

Aside from the market insight from industry leaders, all four Philippine ambassadors based in Latin America (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina) will join the open forum to share their views on how Philippine exporters can develop trade opportunities in the region.
