The presence of Philippine startups was strongly felt at this year’s Pistahan Festival, in San Francisco held from 13 to 14 August 2022 at Yerba Buena Center. 

Philippine Startups who showcased their products and services to the public were:

  • BayaniPay www.bayanipay.com, fintech offering banking products and services provided by East West Bank, as well as remittances. Bayani Pay is one of the Portfolio Companies of Talino Labs based in Los Angeles
  • Kumu www.kumu.ph, largest social entertainment app in the Philippines
  • ShipIt by 1Export www.shipit.1export.com, export facilitation and delivery service from air to sea  freights with options of door-to-door or door-to-port delivery
  • Dynamico Space https://dynamico.space , co-working space virtual tech teams and mentorship

At the Innovation Pavilion, a fireside chat with Robby Rubio, Paramount Pictures & Director of Float, Carl Nuel (Mattel), and Ed Maguan (Weee!) were held to share their experiences, challenges, and insights on FilAm representation in the creative sector in US companies.  Dynamico Space hosted a Speakers Panel on how to get started as a startup in Silicon Valley and featured FilAm Trisha Bantique, Founder and CEO of Queenly (www.queenly.com), a leading marketplace and search engine for the formal wear industry.
