A ten-member delegation that joined the 2019 ENGAGE 2019 Silicon Valley Immersion Program from 12-16 August made a courtesy visit to the Philippine Consulate in San Francisco and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center-Silicon Valley (PTIC-SV). The group representing media and entertainment, retail and property management, design studio, and fintech startup came to Silicon Valley to learn from the Valley’s innovative, entrepreneurial, and collaborative culture. Organized by Startup Village, the delegation visited several Bay Area companies.

During the courtesy visit, the delegation had the opportunity to introduce their companies and share their experiences from the immersion program with the Philippine Consulate and PTIC-SV. Also, Consul Jed Llona briefed them on the current initiatives to support the Philippine’s startup community through the Spark-Connect-Empower (SCE) advocacy as well as the various Philippine Startup Meetup (PSMU) series organized at the Philippine Center. They were also informed about the upcoming co-working space being developed by a group of FilAm entrepreneurs within the Philippine Center.
