Commercial Counsellor Cynthia Ricafort of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Singapore delivered a presentation on Business and Investment Opportunities in the Philippines at the #FinanciallyLiteratePH event held recently in Tampines, Singapore.
With about 150 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in attendance, Ms. Ricafort talked about the franchising opportunities and business trends in the Philippines, and highlighted the many programs of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in the Philippines that support would-be entrepreneurs and Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
Ms. Ricafort stressed that the DTI programs – Negosyo Center, Shared Services Facilities, Mentor ME, SME Roving Academy, were made available in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao to reach and enable ordinary Filipinos including families of OFWs in the Philippines to become productive business owners.
She also showed testimonial videos of successful program beneficiaries to inspire the audience push for their business aspirations and impart that the DTI is their partner in business.
The event also featured an engaging talk on Women Entrepreneurship by Mrs. Josephine Gotianun-Yap, President and CEO of Filinvest Development Corp and wife of Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Joseph Del Mar Yap.
