The Forum aims to provide assessors and experts with updates on PAB’s accreditation policies and procedures, and to give an overview on the revised ISO/IEC 17025:2017, the international standard that specifies the general requirements for the competence, impartiality and consistent operation of laboratories.   It also serves as a venue to discuss issues and concerns regarding the implementation of PAB’s accreditation policies and requirements; and to calibrate assessors and experts understanding of these policies and requirements.

The Assessors’ and Experts’ Forum is an annual event organized by the Philippine Accreditation Bureau, the national accreditation body of the Philippines, mandated by virtue of Executive Order No. 802 to accredit conformity assessment bodies like testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, medical laboratories, inspection bodies, and certification bodies.
