The Department of Trade and Industry-Philippine Accreditation Bureau conducted briefing on accreditation and DTI-PAB services during the seminar on “General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SSOP) on Food” held last 29 June 2017 at Yana Chemodities, Inc. Kaliraya St. Quezon City.

The DTI-PAB is the National Accreditation Body of the Philippines mandated to accredit testing, calibration, inspection and certifying bodies, and other bodies offering conformity assessment services. As of 31 May 2017, it has accredited 175 testing laboratories, 40 calibration laboratories, 6 medical laboratories, 3 inspection bodies, and 8 certification bodies.

DTI-PAB is a signatory to international accreditation agreements managed by IAF/PAC for MLA and ILAC/APLAC and MRA.  Its accreditation schemes on quality management system, environmental management and laboratory and calibration are internationally recognized by fellow signatories.
