The 33rd Philippine Chemistry Congress with the theme “Chemistry: Rising to Challenges” was held from 30 May to 01 June 2018 at Philippine International Convention Center, Metro Manila. More than ____ hundred of participants from the academe, government and industry attended the event to discuss updates in chemistry.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through the Philippine Accreditation Bureau (PAB) represented by Ms. Perla Baje, Division Chief of Laboratory Accreditation Division (LAD)
discussed PAB services and its guidelines in accrediting Chemical Testing Laboratories based on ISO/IEC 17025. The discussion was followed by a question and answer session where in the participants requested for clarifications on the update of ISO/IEC 17025:2005 to ISO/IEC 17025: 2017.

The Philippine Chemistry Congress (PCC) is an annual conference of chemists and chemistry professionals organized by the Integrated Chemists of the Philippines (PIC) in partnership with the Philippine Federation of Chemistry Societies (PFCS) in the Philippines. It serves as the country’s largest gathering of chemists where new knowledge in the chemistry and allied fields are brought to the forefront. It also aims to forge and strengthen cooperation and collaboration among chemists and researchers in the Philippines.
