The Department of Trade and Industry – Philippine Accreditation Bureau (DTI-PAB) formally awarded the Certificate of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2017, in the field of Chemical Testing, to the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Soils and Water Management – Soil and Water Resources Research Division (DA-BSWM-SWRRD) on 05 June 2023 during the BSWM’s 72nd founding anniversary. The accreditation is based on ISO/IEC 17025:2017 which specifies the requirements of the competence, impartiality and competent operation of testing and calibration laboratories.
This accreditation recognizes the division’s technical proficiency in performing specific tests and analyses related to soil and water quality. This also provides another layer of assurance to their clientele that their laboratory’s test results are reliable.
The SWRRD is the second PAB-accredited testing facility within BSWM after its Laboratory Services Division (LSD) has been granted the same accreditation, indicating the bureau’s commitment to generating excellent results through a science-based and systematic approach.
