Magandang araw po! Ako po si Ramon Lopez mula sa Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

Unang una, maraming salamat po sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) sa kanilang programang ito na napakahalaga at napakaimportante sa atin para maging always ready sa any disaster.

Ang Pilipinas po ay part of typhoon belt at Pacific Ring of Fire kaya po maraming typhoons at earthquakes that hit us. It is a whole-of-government focus para po ready ang gobyerno. We need to support disaster agencies like the NDRRMC. This is really a whole-of-society approach dahil kasama ang government at ang private sector dahil lahat po tayo ay magkakaramay.

We need to reduce and manage risks from disasters. Lives, physical, infrastructure, and the economy—kailangan po ma-minimize ang pinsala rito.

The pandemic showed that businesses are also economic frontliners. Unang una, employees must be safe at all times to keep operations running. People need continuous supply of food, medicine, and essential goods. Sa business and infastructures, sisiguraduhin po natin na little to no damage po during a disaster. It is very important for businesses to plan for any disaster, and this is part of ensuring business continuity and planning with the awareness of our staff. Kailangan po maging aware at safety conscious po tayo lahat. Many of us could be at work during an earthquake kaya kailangan ng continuous straining at orientation para laging handa po tayong lahat.

We should have mindset of readiness. Mag-DUCK, COVER, and HOLD sa inyong mga tahanan at opisina. Tandaan: #BidaAngHanda.
