Career Service Professional/Second Level Eligibility or equivalent (PD 907/RA 1080)        (preferred but not a requirement)

  • Strong communication, networking, and research skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Canva and audio-visual media software (e.g. Adobe InDesign, MS Sway, etc.)
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms
  • Knowledge of international media practices and regulations

JOB DESCRIPTION:

INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

a. Develop, write, and edit communications materials, including press releases, on behalf of the Foreign Trade Service Corps;

b. Develop creatives, graphic design, and social media content on behalf of the Foreign Trade Service Corps;

c. Prepare briefers, talk points, presentations, fact sheets, and information materials

d. Ensure that press releases and FTSC publications are uploaded to DTI social media accounts and Posts’ microsites;

e. Conduct media monitoring, track international trade news, and provide these to DTI Public Relations Unit for distribution

f. Prepare FTSC guidelines on the usage of social media accounts in compliance with KMIS issuances;

g. Regularly update FTSCCO and Posts’ microsites in coordination with KMIS

h. Develop linkages between FTSC with Philippine-based promotion agencies that are actively involved in the promotion of trade and investments;

i. Coordinate with the Planning Officer in monitoring the progress of Agreements and LOIs signed during Presidential and High-Level visits;

j. Perform other tasks and duties that may be assigned from time to time
