As the city of Baguio and other provinces in the Cordillera prepare for the intensified Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) policy guidelines on interzonal travels and protocols, the Department of Trade and Industry-Cordillera Administrative Region (DTI-CAR) and its provincial offices have been conducting coordination meetings on the reactivation of the Rolling Stores, Kadiwa, and Market-to-Home Delivery programs.

With the threats brought by the more contagious COVID-19 Delta variant in the Philippines, the local government unit (LGU) in Baguio is firming up its contingency plan to address possible stricter lockdowns and limited people movement through the reinstitution of Rolling Stores, Kadiwa, and Market-to-Home Delivery. These programs aim to bring essential goods to the barangays to limit the mobility of residents in their respective areas therefore containing the virus.

The Rolling Store program is an initiative of LGU Baguio and DTI-CAR, together with private retail partners, where clients and buyers can buy their groceries and other basic necessities in identified open spaces in a barangay.
