Province of Dinagat Islands – Department of Trade and Industry provincial office here kicked of the celebration of the National Micro, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) Week 2021 through the “Abot na Kabuhayan sa Kalikasang Buhay Mentoring and Coaching Program,” in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands at Maribao Convention Hall, Brgy. Don Ruben, San Jose, 15 September 2021.
Said program aims to enable, sustain and professionalize the MSMEs in the province by enhancing their entrepreneurial acumen. The activity was attended by a total of forty 40 participants with Victor “Vix” Madlangbayan, ASEAN Angelpreneur, serving as the resource person.
“Kadtong naay gagmay na capital, mag padayon sa ilang pagtaas, para mag libot-libot ang kwarta diri sa Dinagat Islands. Sigurado nga naay mga produkto na mabaligya sa baratong presyo, adunay mga activities na puwede himoon aron sila matabangan. (These small businesses will continue to grow and contribute to the economic progress of Dinagat Islands. We will continue to make sure that these products will be sold even in very affordable prices and that activities will be conducted to help them, said Gov. Arleen “Kaka” Bag-ao in a message.
The governor emphasized that through the program everyone will be provided equal opportunities as they engage in business. “Our MSME Week Celebration will continue to honor and celebrate the successes of our small entrepreneurs who have been greatly affected by the pandemic,” said DTI Provincial Director (PD) Elmer Natad.
PD Natad added that the activities prepared for the MSMEs will make sure to help those who wanted to start their businesses, assist those who have struggled because of the pandemic, and help businesses grow especially with challenges of the new normal.
The MSME Week this year with the theme “Makabagong MSMEs, Bagong Pag-asa Laban sa Pandemya,” features a series of webinar activities dubbed as the Dinagat EnterpRISE Islands that will help the local MSMEs in Dinagat transition to the new normal.
Tatak Dinagat Trade Fair will also be conducted and will start on 21 – 28 September 2021.
