Two Bukidnon business establishments give more assurance to customers of a safe shopping experience after being granted a Safety Seal from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bukidnon.
Robinsons Supermarket Lavina in Valencia City, Bukidnon is the first supermarket in Northern Mindanao to receive a Safety Seal.
A day after, Handyman Do It Your Best in Robinsons Place Valencia, Bukidnon, becomes the first hardware store to be granted a Safety Seal in the region. The hardware store is also the first business establishment inside Robinsons Place Valencia to earn a seal.
The Safety Seal Certification is a voluntary certification scheme that affirms that an establishment is compliant with the minimum public health standards set by the government and uses or integrates its contact tracing with StaySafe.ph or any LGU-mandated contact tracing apps.
Business establishments under the issuing authority of DTI and are interested to earn a Safety Seal only need to apply online at dti.gov.ph/SafetySeal. Representatives from the respective DTI Provincial Office will then personally inspect the establishment to check its compliance with the minimum public health protocols and the use of StaySafe.ph or LGU-mandated contact tracing app.
Once the application is approved, the establishment will receive a copy of its Safety Seal at no cost to be displayed conspicuously at the entrance point of the store. ♦
