Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 celebrates the World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) 2022 with a series of free virtual activities.

This year’s theme, “Fair Digital Finance,” aims to harness the opportunities offered by digital financial services and address consumer issues such as security and data privacy.

As more Filipino consumers are expected to continue the use of digital banking post-pandemic, the celebration calls on businesses, governments, and policymakers to ensure that digital finance is inclusive, safe, data protected and private, and sustainable.

In support of the WCRD celebration, the provincial offices of DTI Region 10 offers free webinars to strengthen consumer awareness on online lending, digital financial services & security policies of e-payment platform, cybercrime awareness, and even complaints handling.

WCRD is celebrated annually every 15 March to mobilize action on important issues and campaigns. ♦
