NORTHERN MINDANAO – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 celebrates Consumer Welfare Month with activities in the regional and provincial offices designed to create awareness on consumer rights and responsibilities and promote consumer welfare.
This year’s theme is “GenS: Generation Sustainable.”
The month-long celebration kicked off with a Consumer Fun Bike 2023 in Mambajao, Camiguin on October 1, 2023.
It was followed by media briefings the following day in Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental.
More activities are lined up including the conduct of Diskwento Caravan, Consumer Quiz on Air, FTL Briefing on Product Standards, Provincial Quiz Bowls, E-Poster/Poster Making Contest, Vendor’s Quiz, Consumer Education in Barangays, Retailer’s Forum on New Mandatory Product Standards, and Orientation on LPG & Petroleum Products.
In additional, the DTI-10 Regional Office will also be organizing activities such as the 3rd Quarter Consumer Network Meeting on October 17, Online Consumer Quiz Bowl on October 20, Regional Consumer Quiz Bowl on October 23, and Reginal Bagwis Awarding on October 24.
